MIDLAND, TX, GREELEY, CO (November 21, 2024) – Platinum Control, a leader in high-efficiency Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs) and Burner Management Systems (BMS), has announced its expansion into the Rockies region. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for the company, bringing its proven solutions to an important growth market known for its stringent emissions regulations.

The expansion follows the news of a leading operator purchasing 51 Platinum Control high-efficiency VRUs to equip new facilities as part of its asset development program in the DJ Basin of Colorado. The VRUs will be installed and maintained by Platinum’s trusted service partner, Western Sky Energy Partners, headquartered in Greeley, Colorado

“I am thrilled to lead our expansion into the Rockies," said Jack Samis, Co-CEO of Platinum Control. "Operators in the Rockies tell us they need solutions to ensure compliance with increasingly stringent emissions regulations without sacrificing profitability. Our solutions have been proven themselves in our home market of the Permian Basin, arguably one of the industry’s most competitive arenas.

“Our high-efficiency VRUs are an ideal fit. By leveraging the capabilities of our new fabrication and manufacturing facility in Midland, we can easily customize our high-efficiency units at a lower cost and pass the savings along to our customers.

“Furthermore, our modular Platinum-600 Burner Management System offers operators the versatility of using a single unit for multiple applications, coupled with a user-friendly interface and backed by responsive 24/7 support.”

The Platinum Control VRU Advantage- Custom Upgrades on a Proven Platform

Platinum Control’s premier engineering team is experienced at designing, developing and operating solutions for maximizing the efficiency of vapor and natural gas recovery as well as emissions control. We start with our proven high-efficiency VRU designs and include custom upgrades to fit your specific application. We use only high-quality materials, and technology, including PULSE™ remote monitoring.

Benefits of choosing Platinum VRUs include:

  • Higher Efficiency Generates More Revenue. You can move the same volume of tank vapor gas with fewer VRUs.

  • Lower Capital Outlay Boosts Economic ROI. Reduce the total capital cost per SCF.

  • Improved Scalability. You do not need as many VRUs to move an equivalent volume of gas, making it easier and more cost effective to increase capacity.

  • Reduced Maintenance and Repair (Higher Uptime). Right-sized, more efficient units are subject to less stress and wear and tear on components and seals.

  • Simplified Operations. Fewer units mean fewer connections, less potential for fugitive emissions and overall improved operational efficiency.

  • Flexibility. Flexible Fleet™ lease plans are designed for operational simplicity and conserve capital.
