By refurbishing and/or retrofitting an older VRU to like-new condition, you can deploy idle equipment to older wells to generate additional revenue and improve your environmental performance.

The Platinum Control VRU Refurbishment Process

 

The VRU refurbishment process is straightforward and designed to get your equipment back to full efficiency in a reasonable period of time.

 

1. Evaluation. We first consult with you to determine what your goals are for your older VRU, review the unit and evaluate the type of service they can return to in the field.

2. Recommendation. Once we assess the condition in Step 1, we provide you with recommendations based on achieving your goals for the unit(s). For example, if the VRU is to be deployed to an older well with lower gas volumes, we may recommend a smaller compressor (e.g., 20 to 50 horsepower) or even a retrofit to smaller screws. Our recommendations are based on maximizing the return-on-investment to restore reliability and efficient operation. We test for orifice sizes, seals, gaskets, and wear on moving parts. If headed back into service at a new well, we may recommend a complete skid solution consisting of a new compressor, electrical panel, and automation equipment. In these cases, we return the VRU to you in like-new condition backed by a one-year warranty.

3. Get to Work. We do the work you approved to the highest standards to ensure reliable and efficient performance in the field. This includes approved refurbishment or retrofitting, function testing, and delivery.

4. Delivery. We provide a complete report showing what work has been completed, and a warranty certificate if applicable. Turnaround time ranges anywhere from just a few days for routine maintenance and service to a few weeks for a complete skid solution.
